I dont know Patterico (Ken does), but weve emailed back and forth through the years and I find him to be a pretty straight arrow. Though I disagree with him on many things, I enjoy his blog. So, when he said: Now hold onto your hats, because this is about to get really weird. I took him at his word. And he was right. The story would be utterly implausible, except for two things: a) the work of Hollywood stars does not typically expose them to lethal levels of barium (if Brittany Murphy had been a miner, or a welder, or had broken a plasma television and sucked up all its contents, I could see that); and b) the Department of Homeland Security, the worst agency in our entire rotten government, is involved. So I reserve judgment.
