I dont know about anyone else, and please feel free to correct me - TopicsExpress

I dont know about anyone else, and please feel free to correct me if Im wrong, but I like being able to spend money on myself without asking for permission. I like too take myself out on the odd occasion (when I can) to the movies or a library, long walks exploring and cafe runs for a coffee and enjoy my own company. I like to stay in my PJs all weekend also watching reruns of Friends whilst eating a tub of Sarah-Lee Ultra chocolate ice-cream and not feel guilty about it. I like taking random weekend trips on a whim, not shaving my legs if I dont want too or blasting Girl Power tunes into a broom handle strutting my goddess feminine stuff when I do my housework. I love the freedom that comes with belonging to me. And although I would like to share my amazing journey some day with a Mr RSVP got my shit together too, I hope that in the mean time society can flip the switch of perception that being single isnt a Handicap or sigma of she must have issues. Its extremely brave and empowering. We are truly tough and yes, a force to be reckoned with because we face the world the single way every day and we dont let the idea of going it alone intimidate us. We dont fear running into an ex at a party to stop us from having fun, or the insecurities which may arise in others during the process of us going somewhere or achieving something. We walk with our heads held high on a path that forces us to step out of our comfort zone constantly alone without fearing it, to grow stronger inside. Its a path that the majority of people may never have to walk. The journey of a single woman is not an easy one, but we welcome the unknown and embrace it with all its challenges in our stride. There is fire in our souls that can never be quite tamed, an unwillingness to settle, an independence all of our own that we can do and be anything we choose. we posses a shine of wisdom that comes from surviving & learning lifes lessons of good and bad pain. We have a voice of confidence and are not afraid to fall, stumble or stagger as long as we are still moving forward.
