I dont know about coming into the season of goodwill. But its most - TopicsExpress

I dont know about coming into the season of goodwill. But its most definitely the season of Mud, dirt and wet dogs. I am very lucky that I can enjoy my garden throughout the year, as most of its bought into my kitchen on a daily basis.LOL Every toilet visit, and they all have to go en masse, involves feet cleaning, and tummys for those with short little legs.Broggie is like a thoroughbred racehorse that likes the going soft...easier to excavate, in vast quantities. My adorable neighbours Carol and Mike, may yet be knocking my door with worries of subsidence at this rate. I am sure if I had Brogue the rogue DNA tested there would be more than a bit of beaver in him.LOL. If theres naughtiness to be had, guarantee he will be in the thick of it, closely followed by a very dirty looking Westie. Since I have slowed down a wee bit, the little man falls asleep on me late afternoon, upside down like a baby, its a habit now and he actively seeks me out for this special time. Its lovely. He is still not coming downstairs, but we practice daily.....why bother when you can be carried. At this rate the next time I am targeted by Stannah stairlifts, I may actually converse with then, rather than take umbrage. LOL. The weather is gearing itself up for the weekend, grey and rainy. But, its really nice walking in the rain, across fields, theres a freshness, and it really clears your mind, especially when your soaked through to your undies!!!!! and you take on a walk like your chewing a toffee. Lol Its also the time of year they seem to want to roll in everything that smells dire, so not only am I wet and muddy, but I sometimes have to load the car with 4 foul smelling furries. You can actually see the pity on other dog walkers faces for me, so funny. Its no biggy they have a walk in bath, the right shampoo, and I have the time and energy to get them sorted, as for the Landy well I leave that to the people who clean cars properly, the guys up the road do a fab job and always laugh about the dogs antics. As for all the downsides of Winter, theres fab ones too, open fire snuggled up in front of it on a Sunday, surrounded by 4 furries, McLeod is mostly the one that gets the benefit from it. The minute he hears it being lit, he is there like a rat up a drainpipe, so the rest of us have to get the next best position, and it goes without saying I dont get that much of a look in. Lol. The slow cooker comes out of retirement, and you come home to a delightful smell of Irish stew, from a cold walk. You can wear wellies for the next few months. So dont get down, embrace Winter, let it rain and blow, but keep those tails wagging, in a few short months it will be Springtime again. Have a happy fun day, laugh lots with those you meet, and generally enjoy the craic as someone special used to tell me. Hugs Mo xxxxx
