I dont know anything about the Dearborn School in Roxbury. I do know, though, that there is a push to have that school be restricted to students only from that area out of some fear of gentrification. Listen, when parents in East Boston cannot always get their children into a local school of choice, why should other neighborhoods get special considerations? Learning that some parents cannot get their young children into the same elementary school, and must make multiple trips to various schools, it is apparent that there is a problem. So, please do not consider what the parents in Roxbury want. Instead, lets start with true sibling preference, at all schools. While we are at it, lets forbid children from Revere, Medford or other communities outside the confines of Boston coming to our schools.
