I dont know how many more times I have to say this but please think of what you say before you leave a comment on an appeal! Some things are totally inappropriate and the first thing Iv had to do this morning is spend a good 30mins deleting peoples insensitive comments. Some of the ridiculous things Iv had to delete are.... You must not care about your dogs if you let them go missing/be stolen If they are not microchipped its unlikely you will get them back If they are not neutered they have been taken for breeding Someone in a white van will have taken them for breeding/dog fighting Your pet should have been safe, how could you let this happen? The above comments are just the tip of the iceberg of what i end up deleting off appeals on a weekly basis as they are hugely inappropriate! I can speak from first hand experience that having your dog go missing is one of the worst things i have ever experienced and your mind is racing with every possible outcome. You feel like breaking down but you hold it all together because your main priority is finding your pet safe. Pet owners reach out to these pages for help and support. When they are going through a heartbreaking and difficult time they do not then need the upset of reading some of these stupid comments. By posting these comments you are also taking up my time which could be better spent helping owners and their pets. Everyone thinks that they will be one of the lucky ones that will never have their pet go missing but it can happen to even the most careful of pet owners through a host of different circumstances. Just think if it was you, would you like to read some of things that have been written? Just please be a bit more thoughtful in the future when it comes to leaving a comment.
