I dont know how your Sabbath passed, I can tell you about mine at eventide. Gulped a shot, it was more than a shot, of red wine on an empty stomach in one go. Not only am I seeing double, I am at my creative best. The full-bodied wine (no grape to its name, I assume its blended, and I can detect no bouquet) is from Sikkim, courtesy of the Nep in the house; 35 years with us notwithstanding, she must be close to 70 now, as Gurkha as Gurkha can be, a workaholic, one would have to shoot the old horse to get her to fall to her feet (I dont mean it, God bless the ole hag), she still exhibits that fine palate for booze she had over three decades ago, and a continental one for food; she adores English khaana, all non-Indian fare is English. Ive learned so much from her about the globalisation and generalisation of food. And so far as spirits are concerned, the Neps sure know their booze, Chang, Raksi, Tongba and all, Im seeing stars, didnt I tell you Im at my creative best; let me go in search of Sikkim and Bacchus. I suppose Rome and Sikkim are in the same geographical location since we are talking about globalisation and generalisation. Let me let you all in on a secret, if you dont want the booze to go to your head, consume dollops of yak butter. Let me go in search of yak butter. Toodle-oo or toodle-doo or whatever....who cares, as long as I can get my hands on some yak butter.
