I dont know if anyone noticed, but I havent been on Facebook for the past couple of days. Life seems to get more crazy each day!!! I realize that things will never be like they were 20 or 30 years ago, hell, even 10 years ago, but our part of the country has turned from Mayberry to Sodom and Gomorrah!!! Very few people have any compassion for their neighbors any more. As a matter of fact, most people have more compassion for strangers than they do for their own family and friends!!!! Social media, like Facebook and Twitter have made communication a vital part of our everyday life. In some ways this is great, but it has desensitized a lot of people. We send thoughts and prayers, as fast as it can.be typed, but how many bother to stop and physically check on someone. A face to face conversation could mean more to someone than anyone could ever imagine. On another subject... Where in the continental hell, have all of these hippie-type, Volvo-driving, yankee liberals come from..!!?? Hysterical Looneyburg (Lewisburg, is chocked plumb full of these middle of the road, bicycle riding assholes!!! On that note, I damn sure aint sharing my portion of the road, especially Route 60, with a hippie on a damn bicycle!!! There is a safe place for hippies and health seekers to ride bicycles... THE GREENBRIER RIVER TRAIL!!!! No vehicle traffic and very safe. Makes too much sense, I guess!!! Thanks for reading my rant, fellow Faceboogers!!!! If ya feel like it, hug a hippie, and tell em the northbound lane aint crowded!!!
