I dont know if its too premature to make a guess but I think the World Juniors will be Russia vs. Canada for gold medal. I think these will be the two powerhouse teams of the tournament. I have yet to see Finland or USA but I did see highlights of Canada vs. Sweden and it looks like Swedens goalie is weak and the only thing going for Sweden is the power play. Not much for team tactical play and the players look like midweight compared to heavyweights on Russia and Canada. Canada looks like it will be a powerhouse against all teams. Canada has great offense as does Russia and if it goes to the finals then it could be a game decided by the goalies. Thats an early estimation having not seen the other teams other than highlights. I did watch final ten minutes of Russia vs. Canada and OT winner by Russia in the first exhibition game.
