I dont know if other reverts get this feeling or not, and its kind of hard to explain. But ever since I took my shahadah I get the feeling that I am not like the non Muslims anymore. I used to be like them, feeling lost and misguided but now its like I have found the light and my eyes are wide open as well as my heart. I feel estranged to them, even though I have non Muslim family members and I love them very much but I feel different. I see them in a lost space just wasting time, not knowing or caring about whats awaiting all of us. I feel bad for them because I was once in their shoes. But now I feel relief, I feel my heart is at ease, I have found my true love...Allah!! It gets me all teary eyed just thinking about it. I remember before I was Muslim just going day in and day out just living, not having a care for the world and just doing whatever my heart desires. I remember thinking is this it? Subhan Allah the ways Allah can change that around. Alhamdu Lillah for Islam. I feel alive
