I dont know if this is allowed, I just needed to vent and thank everyone here for all the amazing advice. I currently have a fearful dog, with a bite history. As most of you know, to say its stressful is an understatement. I have made some great progress with him but that is not why I am writing. Locally, there is a dog that is lost. This guy, who calls himself a behaviorist, is helping with the search. He has a following of people, so I decided to check him out, even though I had a pretty good idea of what to expect based on his followers. Here is a video someone posted of him teach in their dog to be groomed. Its 9 minutes long, I havent finished watching it, I dont know if I can. It is absolutely horrible. This poor poor dog. Again, I dont know if this is allowed. I learned what NOT to do by reading and learning from this site. For that, im forever grateful. Im not trying to spread hate, im just horrified this man is so popular in my area. He is doing everything wrong and nothing right. His reason as to why he does not believe in clickers and fanny packs? Because they dont work and until you see a wolf with a fanny pack of treats, he refuses to use those methods. Im so sad for this dog. The comments on tbe fb post say he has bitten multiple family members and has rage syndrome. All I see is a terrified dog... Please delete if not appropriate.
