I dont know the details of this particular attack but I also dont have a problem with this settlement. If you dont know your dog well enough to know how its going to react, then you shouldnt have a dog. With that said...the part of the story that got me the most was this: Boyd said her 9-year-old daughter still loves animals, but she tends to have a trepidation around larger, louder dogs. She said her daughters positive attitude through the traumatic experience has been encouraging for her family. The girls fear is of course, more than understandable, but the fact that they are obviously not raising her to be terrified and live her life in fear is a testament to what wonderful parents this little girl has.
