I dont know the full story about Keith Taylors post, but I understand that some folks took exception to what was posted. If you truly feel that Barack Obama is a paragon of virtue or the greatest president, I really and strongly suggest a trip to DC to see how dysfunctional, the system and the Obama Presidency has become. I opened up my electric bill, yesterday and it was just over $450.00. Back when Bush 43 was POTUS, it averaged about $250-$300. The cost of gas, in my car has doubled, the last shopping trip, three large beefsteak tomatoes, were about $10, as compared to $4, about six years ago. Now, the price of insurance premiums, in the exchanges will go double-digits, this year. Im not going to go in what happened at Benghazi, Ft. Meade, the IRS or any of that other stuff that would have caused an uproar, if Bush 43 was POTUS. The other day, Congresswoman Janice Hahn, was talking about the Student Loan crisis and educational institutions that fail and leave the students hanging. Unfortunately, the bullet is already out of the barrel and nobody placed a revolver to these peoples heads to take student loans. Frankly, I think that student loans are a racket, and are driven by artificially inflated college fees and tuition. In 1980, the cost to go to UCLA was $702 a year or about $2,200. Today it is $13k+. At least Nixon had the balls to roll back prices, during the wage-price freezes of the 70s. Obama goes golfing, yet makes a lot of promises, that never come to fruition. I say, take a large chunk of that money that would be used for student loans and start by building Trade Technical Skill Schools, modeled after the LAUSDs occupational centers and Trade Tech, downtown. The office of the POTUS is to execute the laws passed by congress and which have been signed into law, not game the system with EOs. i was reading where the ISIS folks in Iraq, are ready to pounce on an airbase, with F-16s and some Russian manufactured aircraft. Between this and liberating a bank of $450 million, Id rather be the top-dog in a matter, than being subjugated by a bunch of 5th Century madmen. Some conservatives may be over the top (and so are most progressives), but I am not a single issue person. I reflect upon reality and political discourse is always welcome, but in a respectful tone, to each other. Frankly, I believe some of you folks may owe Keith a big apology.
