I dont know what it is with me and nail salons lately, but I am SO Pd off right now! I HATE watching injustice being done by one human being to another...even worse to me is when a woman does it to another woman, blatantly and with malice. So Im sitting there...nails are drying...fidgeting because I dont sit still well...and there is this woman sitting in a pedicure chair getting her toes done. The nail technician is a young Asian woman, going to town on this womans feet. The woman has, by the time my own nails were painted and drying, already complained about the pedi water being too cold...then too hot...and some other stuff; I kinda tried to tune it out. So, at this point in the pedi process, it is this womans time to get the hot towel wrap around each leg. I guess the towels were too hot for this woman because she started saying something about the towels being too hot...take them off! ....theyre too hot!....OOOOFFFF!!!!....she YELLS....at this poor woman who is looking bewildered and trying to get the towels off the womans legs as fast as she can. The entire salon STOPPED. The entire place looked at her ...I was looking at her like she was crazy. I get it. The towels were hot. So tell the woman, and if necessary, reach down and take the towels off quickly yourself if its THAT HOT!!! But did you have to yell at her like she was your dog...or servant? It was ugly. I was mad...twisting my head around and making popping sounds with my neck mad... So a few minutes pass and its quiet. Awkward. Then she speaks up again, ...do you SEE my leg?! ....do you SEE the burn?! ....You could have at least apologized! LOUD. Shes talking LOUD. The nail tech was obviously upset about what she did and was turning red like she was ready to cry but continued to work on this womans feet. REALLY?! I get it. The nail tech made a mistake. Im sure she didnt get up this morning, see the womans name on the schedule and think, Im gonna burn this B---s legs today. Im not sure what Im more mad about...the womans actions, and how she could have handled that whole situation differently and not so hatefully....or myself for not saying something. :-(
