I dont know what to say right now. My friend, the brilliant Taylor - TopicsExpress

I dont know what to say right now. My friend, the brilliant Taylor Negron is gone. Its impossible to understand how such a bright, witty, talented, sweet man could be allowed to leave us. Taylor was a true genius, not just as an actor (though he was very good) but he was deep and thoughtful and possessed a wit and intelligence that would have been at home at the Algonquin Round Table, a man who seemed from a different age in all the good ways. He was a painter, a writer (oh, how he could write), an essayist, a director, producer, even a songwriter. He was a comic, a comic genius and a man who could mine the darkest rooms of funny, in the most beautiful and poignant way. He could cook, too, and speak French. And he showed up -- for me it was things like doing my short film and being the last person to leave my 40th birthday party. But more than anything, he moved through this world with the air of an old school movie star, paying homage to his Hollywood roots, all bright-light wattage and high-style and who-cares-what-people-think? And yet, he loved an adventure. He had real grace and true, epic kindness, the kind of man who made you want to be a better human. He had so many friends and he managed to make us all feel special. My words seem so hollow right now. I was with him here in town when his friend Robin Williams died. It was the last time I saw him and we spent a lot of time in tears. I cannot even imagine how much I will miss this sweet, kind soul of a thousand faces and a million enchantments. Tay, I know you were loved, but you deserved more from this world, and I will be among those who will miss your face.
