I dont know whether the accusations against Bryan Singer are true and I have noting to say about them until they are investigated fully. Please note, I am entirely consistent on this. I know that the rape accusations against Roman Polanski are true and believe he should have gone to prison; however, I consider his movies, before and since, separate entities, art that cannot be blamed for the artist. I believe that the child-molestation accusations against Woody Allen dont pass the reasonable-doubt test, for multiple reasons; I happen not to believe them at all. If I am wrong and they are true anyway, he would deserve to go to prison, but his movies, before and since, are separate entities, art that cannot be blamed for the artist. I believe the same thing of Bryan Singer. If guilty, he should go to prison; his various movies, before and after X-Men, retain whatever quality they ever had, for better or ill. They are art, or at least pop-art, that cannot be blamed for the artist. So, yeah, *I* am consistent on this. I do, however, wonder just how many SF fans who waxed indignant about my continued admiration for the filmography of Woody Allen -- how DARE I? -- will not be willing to sacrifice a return visit with their precious X-Men based on the same principle of high moral dudgeon.
