I dont know why I do it sometimes but I threw my hat in the ring of a discussion tonight about a very, very ignorant post here on FB on racisim. I was told during said discussion by a Liberal Progressive that I just dont understand the political and social climate of racisim because and I quote, I was born White Privileged! I was very insulted by that incredibly ignorant and totally asinine statement! Because Ive worked my ass off my whole life while facing many of the same struggles (to be honest more than some) that everyone faces all the while making many of the right choices that have left me blessed to have what I do because of said choices that Ive made. To say that I have what I have because Im White Privileged and not because of my choices negates the struggles of said choices. And then it hit me that thats the true purpose of all of this BS race baiting the last five years. To negate the fact that its hard work and the choices that we all have to make as human beings that brings with it the fruits and blessings of said choices. Not because of the color of our skin.
