I dont like all the accusations of racism in these posts. The people here love animals and care about their welfare and find live export abhorrent, it is why they are here and posting - especially when these animals are travelling to a type of death which is deemed cruel by all animal welfare charities and the British Veterinary Association. Yes, kosher is exactly the same. These lambs are going for halal. If you look back through these posts, you will see the reaction when a lorry of calves were travelling to veal crates probably in Spain. There were not then lots of posts from Spanish people defending the barbaric practice and it didnt mean we were all racist towards Spanish people. If a lorry of ducks were travelling to South West France to be force fed for foie gras before being slaughtered, the reaction would be the same but we dont hate french people because of it. This is about animal welfare and the things that cause unnecessary suffering to voiceless young animals. It is not about being anti-French, anti-Musilim, anti-Jewish, anti-Spanish - indeed, we are posting here from all over the world. It is about anti-animal cruelty. And we in Britain are responsible for sending these animals out of the country to that fate.
