I dont like the greeting Happy Easter its not my birthday. I think the phrases He is Risen or Hes Alive can be very confusing. In fact the core of my faith/what I believe in can really be very confusing. I believe in a God who thousands of years ago, had his only son die on a cross, for me to some day go to heaven, the Bible says. Then, 3 days later (why 3??) he just woke up from being dead. Thats some really far out there stuff to believe in. But I do. this God has comforted me and given me peace when I just dont understand. Hes also answered prayers in ways that there really just is no other explanation. I believe in the Jesus the Bible says made blind people see, split a sea in half so people could walk through, and saved a guy who was eaten by a whale, and yes rose from the dead. So when we see He is Risen, there is so much more. Today is a day we celebrate the core of our faith. A day of new beginnings and promised hope.
