I dont like violence, will be the first to try and tone down conflicts, but this video reminded me of a fight that I saw in 8th grade in Italy. I was attending a DOD school in Italy, 7th grade through 12th Grade on a military base in Naples Italy. New kid moves into neighborhood, in 8th grade just like me. Some sophomore was picking on him in the morning before the bus showed up, then on the bus. After school let out, we all got back on bus and when we got off the bus, the same dumb ass sophomore and a few of his friends, thought they were going to give him a wedgie,,,, well, 3 of them got their asses handed to them, cause the kid, was the son of Martial Arts Badass Dad, and took out 3 sophomores, front kick to the face, then his friend jumped in, leg sweeped him, dropped him, then 3rd guy, comes up, throws a punch, kid grabbed his wrist, did some pressure thing, laid him on the ground,,, after that, Tom Cherrist, one of my best friends, in 8th grade never got messed with again. Seeing the story on the news of the 14 year old kid, who had an extremely embossing video of him, shot in a bathroom, then having it shared on social media, and two weeks later he killed himself, really made me think, about how social media bullying is so extremely powerful, cruel, and several kids have taken their own life, based upon crap like that, rumors, and more. Im glad I dont have kids, because honestly, these days, with social digital media, where everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly, spreads like wildfire. I think that every kid should have to watch The Breakfast Club but, the pot smoking scene, would have to be deleted for educational purposes, but an even more import film is the 2011 Film Bully. I also believe that every school should have an option PE Class with Martial Arts offered, dont get that twisted, because, Im not talking the Karate Kid crap, Im talking a real Martial Arts Program that teaches, discipline, self restraint, self defense, respect, and more. Hindsight is always 20/20, I think if we all look back at our Grade School, Jr High and High School days, growing up, we all have said things or witnessed things, that were wrong, hurtful, and if each of us could go back in time, we would have stepped in, changed things, and perhaps stepped up for the people who could not step up for themselves. From 1st grade to 12th grade, I was used to moving all over the United States and Europe, every year or two years, growing up in a USN Family. I was never the popular kid, and 7th and 8th grade in Italy was my biggest challenge, because the 7th grade through 12th grade DOD School I attended on a USN Navy Base in Italy, my stepfather a 2 Star Admiral at the time, was basically the highest chain of command meaning, every kids parents from 7th grade through 12th grade, were someway or another, under the command of my Stepfather. So, I did my best to make friends with all the cliques, the jocks, the nerds, The Mods, the skaters, the cheerleaders, and all cliques. Did I have a few fights, yup, did I get my ass handed to me, yup, once, but I deserved the one time, the other two fights in school, I did not win nor loose, as when they happened, it was older bigger kids, starting crap with me, and was lucky enough to have a few friends, that let us fight fairly, after school, and the funny thing is, after those two fights, I became friends with the kids, I fought. If you have kids, I highly recommend you sit down and watch The Bully Movie, and is they are in JR High, watch the Breakfast Club, full version. Anyways, kids can be cruel, and you might just be surprised what they might learn and share with you from watching those two movies.
