I dont mean this to be rude or anything like that and I hope no - TopicsExpress

I dont mean this to be rude or anything like that and I hope no one takes it that way. That said, Ive been seeing this issue come up a lot lately and I want to talk about it. Issue: Photographer A will ask Photographer B about where a certain location is in a photo. Photographer B declines to say where it is and Photographer A gets upset, thus, thinking Photographer B is some sort of mean person. Location scouting is hard work. Whitney and I spend hours at a time doing it. When we find a cool place, we keep it secret. Its not that we, or other photographers like us, are being intentionally mean when we withhold these locations. Its just that we put a lot of effort into finding them and we will get our solid use out of them before ever telling anyone where they are. Every photographer should be scouting. You can even scout just by driving to the store. That said, if you see a cool spot in a photo and the photographer wont give it up, understand that just like the actual art of taking solid photos, finding great locations takes time and effort, too. I just wanted to put that out there. Its all love and photographers never mean anything malicious by it. :)
