I dont mean to be negative, but I just saw a very ominous sign for the future of radio. Target used to have multiple aisles of radios. Portable radios, clock radios, boom box radios, stereo systems with radios, Walkman-type radios, even car radios in the automotive department. How many radios does Target stock today? One. A lone cheaply-made AM/FM portable on a peg hook. Thats all, folks. I realize radio is alive and well in many rural areas where terrestrial radio is still a primary medium. But for the nation as a whole, it doesnt look good :-(
