I dont normally do this sort of thing, and by no means do I believe I (or my family) is any better than anyone else, but Im a little erked...When you have your child in a team activity, an activity such as a sport where they are being taught discipline, timeliness, group effort, selflessness, etc, and there is a team function requiring you as a parent to attend...One would think you would want to model these qualities to your child and make the effort to attend (or at least find someone to represent you if you truly cant). Conduct yourself as a leader, teacher, and parent so you can mold your child be the same. As long as it isnt freezing, icy, and we arent stuck in the middle of a blizzard, were walking (and yes, I worked all day, I have a toddler, my son has homework, I have a house to clean and dinner to put on the table)...Present and on time, no excuse. (end rant)
