I dont normally (ever) post things on Facebook, but I feel this clip deserves to be shared. Perhaps it is also because it is late at night, and I choose to drown myself with beautiful images and sobering thoughts (though a glass of whisky would go terribly well with the commentary below). Just a few musings before I leave you with the pleasure of watching the clip: From my eternal optimist perspective, one of the best things about having a round Earth is that with just a small tweak in mindset, it is possible to see that some people whom we love and several places we would love to be at are not on the other side or the far ends of the world, but just around a very long and winding corner. And unlike far reaches or extreme ends, we turn corners every day of our lives, whether it be literally turning a corner to head to school or to work, or figuratively when we turn a corner in our lifes path. Thus, though loved ones may seem far away, though bucket list destinations may appear completely unattainable at this moment, just think of it as turning a corner rather than reaching for a distant edge of the Earth. Weve all turned many corners successfully over the course of our lives and though it will take a little while longer for this, and probably will be a bit more challenging, we will eventually get there. So to anyone who has that person in a distant place whom you want to put your arms around, or have that faraway land or place you wish to set foot on, do not give up, for they really are simply around a very long and winding corner of our round and beautiful Earth.
