I dont normally post in here but this is something that affects the entire city of Fernandina Beach. If you are a citizen of Fernandina beach you have the right to know that our city commissioners are voting on getting rid of our city employed 9-1-1 operators, tomorrow night at 6:00. City hall. If you are against the idea of possible slower response times, possible miscommunication between a county entity and city officers, and a county entity dispatching city personnel along with the flagrant disregard to employee livelihoods, then come out and make your voice heard. In the eyes of many, this is just the beginning of dismantling the city police department. Dont let them consolidate the PD! Let your voices and concerns be heard!
