I dont normally post things regarding issues that we have to deal with regarding divorce-custody etc. however, I am floored at this point and would love prayers and support. We take our children to church, ALL of our children. We attend First United Methodist Church in Claremore. This is a standard, basic Christian church. No wacky ideology, no indoctrination, no forcing our beliefs etc. This church provides our community with outreach and resources and school supplies and food pantry ministries. We are being attacked for taking my step-children to church!! We are being accused of indoctrination because during Vacation Bible School one year ago one of the girls decided of her own free will to be baptized and accept Christ into her heart. This is coming from a set of parents that themselves claim to be Christians. I. Am. Floored. How can this be legal to forbid us to take OUR children to church during OUR visitations? Something is fundamentally wrong with this country if the courts can decide that a legal, biological parent cant take his own children to church! This isnt a matter of being different religions and not agreeing. This is the most ridiculous claim against my spouse and our family I have ever heard.
