I dont normally talk about the many tragedies that go on in the world, but THIS ONE HITS HOME. John Crawford III is my Cousin. In the beginning I called my Family members Tressa Sherrod and Tosha Gilreath Hill to offer support and I kept my mouth shut the whole time thinking our justice system will get it right. I was wrong. How can there be no indictment for a caller who CLEARLY said John was waiving a gun at people when the video shows CLEARLY that he was not. To me the caller escalated the situation with the police by making that false statement. Then while John was on the phone standing still with no one around, the caller is still saying John is waiving the gun around, when he is CLEARLY just slinging it over his shoulder and back to the ground. I feel the caller should be indicted and charged with giving false statements that lead to murder. And as for the cops, they are trained to take action and to recognize all kinds of situations. So here is a situation where there is NOBODY around John and the cops dont communicate with him to get him to drop the gun? Come on people! We see from the video CLEARLY that he drops the gun after being shot in the elbow and he is still shot again, fatally? Come on people! But the police can be involved in a hostage standoff with shots fired and talk to the suspect to bring him or her out alive? But not John? Come on people! I have so much more I want to say, but Im not because Ill be on here for days exposing all kinds of injustice that the media and powers that be think we are stupid about and will just believe.
