I dont often post my thoughts or opinions on Facebook but today my heart is breaking. As I scrolled through and saw flowery posts and pics and ads, I also see an ISIS story about Christians being slaughtered in Iraq. I remember how anytime that Ive gone on a missions trip and met other Christians, despite the language barrier, I absolutely could feel the love for my brothers and sisters in Christ. That instant bond of fellowship between believers. We shared in joy, in prayer. But as I see children fleeing to mountains for their lives but dying of dehydration, women being raped, people being beheaded, I realize that it is really crazy over there! My heart truly shares in their sufferings. They are literally being wiped out because of their faith in God! All I can do is cry and imagine that one day, that could be my children. That could be my husband or me. A fitting day to be a day of prayer. We cant dismiss or forget what people are suffering for the cause of Christ. I pray that God sends provision for those that have fled. Send help from other nations to defend and help. Send a host of angels to bring peace and strength. Lord, would you spread your Word and love and come quickly, Jesus.
