I dont often rant but this morning on the local news they reported that there are over 8000 students in the high school system who reported they are homeless, this doesnt include those too embarrassed to say it, a huge increase. We were contacted earlier this year by one of the local homeless shelters because there are SO many needing help they had run out of food, and at nights were having to turn people away because they had no more room, some of the churches are doing breakfast by the river and see an increasing number of people coming out, also City Mission has the same problem, families in despair and no more room, people who arent habitual attenders, new faces whose family providers have lost their jobs due to a failing economy. THEN I see people saying how great this economy is doing, that the right wing media Is just trying to down the current administration falsely because they are prejudice, racist bigots and I have to scratch my head and wonder WHO they are talking to. Here in West Virginia families are LOSING jobs, people are desperate, crime rates have gone up, hundreds have moved leaving behind their closest friends as well as family. Yet they are trying to push the crazy lie that as a whole, we are better off. Yes I plan to vote tomorrow, not straight Democrat, not straight Republican BUT try to consider each person whether they are for the people, and VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE no matter what their political handle is, because that shouldnt really matter
