I dont often talk about personal stuff on Facebook but today, I feel the need to express something in the hope that it may help someone I know. After getting a very important text today from a woman I respect, admire and love dearly, that said Finished Finished Finished, I am left wondering why anyone stresses over the simple misfortunes in life. I am as guilty as anyone when I want to give out about the weather, or the fact that its a Monday morning or show my outrage at the petrol prices rising by 1 cent. But today has seen the culmination of over a years combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the strongest woman I know (3rd time with cancer in 10 years). The strength, courage and stubbornness of the human spirit should be a constant reminder that we can endure anything if we really want to and that there is always someone worse off than ourselves. I still have a low tolerance for stupid people but I will certainly try my best to forget about the small issues in life and concentrate on getting through the big things.
