I dont personally post a lot on the page, but most of you see regular sightings of my boy Wake that are posted by my wife Vickie! Recently Vic came to me and talked to me about some of the events and the responses to them from some of the group, so I went back a little and kinda caught myself up! I joined this group to gain knowledge of the pet I had chosen to soon became my friend, my granddaughters momentary cuddle buddy, my wifes pride (she loves to show him off) and most of all, our devoted loving family member! I have learned a lot from you all (mostly second hand through my wife) and it has been an absolute pleasure! The one thing that I have noticed is that we are the mixed bag of Jelly Bellys when it comes to breed specific dog owners! We have east coast, west coast, city folk, country folk, hunters, vegans..... we are all very much different with just one stand out thing in common..... WE LOVE OUR GRIFFS! I am not the most sound dog owner(or writer as you can tell), I have been lacking in the extra training department when it comes to my boy but he is loved, fed, and very well cared for otherwise! One thing I have learned in my years as a dog owner, is I want to be more like my dog, I want people to be more like my dog....... loving, forgiving, sharing, and most of all never to quick to judge! Mans greatest fault is our nature to judge the unknown to quickly.... Investigate open your mind gain knowledge on issues and people before you cast the stone. Also if you are hurt by someone elses actions and you dont share your stance but yet feel so strongly about it that you feel the need to remove yourself from the situation be prepared to be hurt again because chances are people still dont understand where you are coming from and it will happen again...... stick it out in these moments share your thoughts and feelings, advocate and educate to eliminate these things from happening again if they mean so much to you! & Wag more Bark less (favorite dog lover bumper sticker)!
