I dont post on here much anymore but this impacts all of you: Puget Sound Energy (PSE) our lovely monopolizing friends with many other interests provide us, the GPR, sweet, sweet energy. Anywho, their current plan is to install $290 million worth of 18 story tall size equivalent power lines throughout Bellevue, Kirkland, Newcastle, Redmond and other nearby areas. Not only will this be paid for with taxpayer dollars, look awfully horrible for these communities (theyre even leaving up old power lines), and are unnecessary with current electricity use patterns, but the lines will essentially directly profit the shareholders of PSE and the Australian VC Bank, Macquarie. Hell, PSE even published their own papers on how even they minimized electricity use and environmental damage and we shouldnt need electricity like this for at least 20 years something they say we need now. In fact, one of the major reasons for building this is so Canada (its a Canadian and Australian bank) can have a third fail-safe in case Canadians lose power. Bottom line is, PSEs contract is running up in a couple years and theyre boosting the companys commercial value through taxpayer dollars before selling it. Its infrastructure people in this area dont need at all but will be paying for.
