I dont really like giving out flyers but do attract people to [CU] events they wouldnt otherwise know. I tend to target people who look bored and might want a conversation instead of a flyer! So far this tactic had produced no fruit apart from getting me asked out on a date! Im pleased to say that Thursday was different and ended with up someone getting to know Jesus rather than me. In the morning I got chatting to a guy who was giving out flyers for a Vintage Fair. We talked for an hour about our ideas about God, Jesus, love, truth, the world. He believed that faith should be based on feelings not facts. I asked him whether he would consider reading an eye-witness account of Jesus life. He surprised me by taking an Uncover [Lukes gospel]. He also came to the event that evening. He was more than impressed and by the end, he was asking about how and why I was a Christian and whether God speaks today. He also shared his struggle with loneliness and changed his view on Jesus ... admitting that it did matter if he existed. I text him on Sunday asking how he was doing and this was part of his reply ..Im liking the Uncover book. it explains some parts and has internet links. The new testament is definitely a love story so Im liking it already. How awesome is that!? Please pray for him - that he would realise hes personally invited into the greatest love story of all time, by the greatest lover of all, and that he would accept and run into the arms of his Father God for a new life and an experience of intimacy, love and life like no other!
