I dont think Derrick Rose is wrong for prioritizing himself as an employee of an institution that thrives on exploiting its employees and running them into the ground and quickly finding a substitute. I also dont think his comments were disrespectful to people who do manual labor because they have the same concerns but do not have the option to sit out. Bottom line, last year Donald Sterling showed the world what we have always known which is that we are still viewed as property so its actually intelligent for Derrick and anybody else living under capitalism to factor their future and best interest into their decisions, over and above their obligation a machine. As for Charles Barkley, why is his mic still on?
