I dont think I have ever met anyone that LIKES being cheated, lied to, or having their thoughts and reactions manipulated. The problem arises as follows - skilled manipulators are so used to doing it, that the innocent person is often totally unaware that they are being manipulated. When you are able to show someone that they are being cheated and manipulated, the reactions are often interesting. At first they go into denial mode. They may lash out at you for showing the sheep where the wolf is hiding. Usually though, once they grow beyond that phase there comes the realisation that they have been manipulated. Then comes the bigger realisation of the wider and historical implications of the trick. With that said, there will always be a % of people who hold on to the lie and the liars, even after it has long been shown they are being lied to. Stockholm syndrome of some sort. Nothing you can do for them. If you do nothing else this evening, make time to watch this entire documentary. The man who made it went to a great deal of time and effort to expose lies and show truth. If you happen to have seen it before, then you will know it is very much an eye opener. Enjoy.
