I dont think a lot of people were ready for you to be in a relationship. I always figured it was one of those great cosmic constants I didnt aim for it, it just fell in my lap. Which I think is the only TRUE way to get into a relationship anyway. People waste most of their early life trying to pick their lovers, at the end of it all its a right place right time thing. Sure you can aim yourself at someone or something but the river of time still flows largely arbitrarily Its important that now even though I am in one I still retain my sense of self. Im just as critical of the whole commitment model now as I was when I was a no-strings-attached guy, if not more. Im still unmistakably Patrick. I just added a new facet of my life without changing the foundation Although Im sure youve been subjected to a few more cat videos than before Never lose a sense of who you are. Nothing and no one is worth that cost.
