I dont think any of us Americans has any business commenting on the Scottish independence vote. It certainly is not even remotely comparable to our separation from Britain which even tho they call themselves a monarchy the people there vote in elections in the entire United Kingdom. That brings me to an interesting point made by a non-Scot lady on NPRs BBC broadcast yesterday where she said words to the effect--why cant I vote? The result of this election one way or the other affects me?
