I dont think that a persons appearence should affect what jobs are - TopicsExpress

I dont think that a persons appearence should affect what jobs are available to them ever. The quality of their character and their skill are what should be the main focus point, not if they have a nose ring or not. Whats sad is that people would not take for example a person with piercings or tattoos seriously if they were a doctor. They would look at the person and automatically assume that they arent qualified for the job based on outer appearence, simply because they view it as unacceptable. Which is hilarious because that person with tattoos could have saved lives. But society is too shallow to be able to look beneath the skin of a person and accept that they might actually be intelligent. And why do people not take people with tattoos seriously or with as much respect as others? Because they were taught that they shouldnt and time and time again when confronted will say Well because its considered unacceptable. So okay, just because society says its unacceptable does that make it truthfully unacceptable? Does it make it just? Does it make it fair? No it doesnt. Everyone deserves the same opportunities.
