I dont think the BNIs decision to invite the CEO of Omni Media Limited, Samuel Attah Mensah, for questioning in connection with the publication of a dubious story by his network about a lady supposedly arrested in the UK for trafficking cocaine is necessary. I believe in naming and shaming of erring media organisations on matters of high national interest, and as have many others on this platform and elsewhere, I have unequivocally condemned the unprofessional behaviour of the media organisation which clearly failed to do its homework before giving the fake story credibility. It should have ended there, especially after the network took immediate steps to correct the inaccuracies in their story. This whole business of the BNI coming in, inasmuch as they may be doing their job, only arms the parrots and cheap attention seekers among us to disturb our peace.
