I dont think this is is an April Fools joke. I also dont think that Mt. Clemens is a bad place to do business. Everyone I talked to thought Che Cosa had already closed, ever since they moved around the block. So if the business suffered, its a direct result of the decisions made and the fact that Forlini put more time and effort into his community theater projects (which are indeed fantastic) than the coffee house. To stay the best, it takes effort. Or Forlini had some sort of spat with Barb/the council/the DDA and he told everyone Shove off, Im taking business elsewhere. Either or both are possible. Also, the comments about parking int Mt. Clemens being bad are a complete cop out. Mt. Clemens doesnt have a parking problem. I never had an issue finding somewhere to park, especially for Che Cosa which is right across the street from the biggest municipal lot in the city. Some of the people commenting complain that theyre there all day and sometimes are late filling the meter and get ticketed. Thats why you either park in the garage, in a neighborhood, or buy a monthly pass. Street parking is for people who want to come in and out, not people who will be there all day. By taking up space in front of other businesses so customers are inconvenienced, you are part of the problem, hurting local business, and deserve every damn ticket you get. That being said, Che Cosa is not the kind of business affected by parking. The daytime customers are the people that work in the area or are there for jury duty. The customers in the evening dont have to deal with the meter. There is literally no problem aside from the fact that if someone cant park within 20 feet of the door, theyre not interested in going there. Enjoy your crappy strip mall coffee from Biggbys.
