I dont under why anyone has a distaste for success in any form. If someone gets married...someone has to suck their teeth. If someone gets clean from a certain demon, theres usually someone to say they cannot make it. Its even worse in any form of entertainment. Lets look at a few current people who are shit on. Seth Macfarlane was a struggling animator who had Family Guy cancelled many times in its beginning, until DVD sales for Cartoon Network skyrocketed. Now he has three syndicated cartoons and two feature films under his belt. And the biggest recently, the man of the hour, Gareth Edwards. Gareth made one independent film that made only two million dollars...until he was given the opportunity to bring back a legendary monster. At first he passed, but then agreed. Now he is breaking records with Godzilla. Why do we hate on these people? Success in any form of life should be embraced. Its a tough road already without someone shitting on you. Here today, I commend any of you who are bettering your lives, are making strides, or becoming a success in any fashion. The road is a long one...but we can all make it if we continue to fight, and support one another as artists, as well as human beings.
