I dont understand how a true Muslim man could be so limited in his understanding of Islam, to only want his wife to just cook and clean. Is that what she was created for ? Is that her purpose in life ?Just like a man, she was also created to worship Allah Azwajal in the best manner possible, just like a man she is supposed to enjoin the good and forbid the evil, just like a man, she is supposed to spread this deen, in her own capability. The purpose of creation remains the same, the laws and rules and roles differ. She is the one who would raise the new generation, how do men expect her to do that, when all she does is household chores, when she has not been taught to have a vision, when she doesnt have a proper Islamic and worldly education. I do not write this to pander to the feminists who demand equal rights between the genders. When you demand equal rights for two very differing creations, its the worst from of injustice. I pray Allah grants us the right understanding of this deen, than the cultural way which has come to prevail in our societies. Ameen
