I dont understand why some libertarians feel the need to so - TopicsExpress

I dont understand why some libertarians feel the need to so aggressively advocate for paleo as if it has anything to do with libertarianism. I understand that paleo defies the traditional governmental model of carbs/fat/protein ideals whatever... ...but that defiance is not what makes it good -- whether or not its good is entirely independent of government and much more dependent on whether or not it works for what you want it to do (presumably keep you healthy/fit/whatever). I happen to a vegetarian. I dont attempt to convert others, I realize that it may not be the healthiest option for other people, and it might not be the absolute healthiest for me sometimes. I prefer it personally for numerous reasons that are none of your business, and I am familiar with the arguments in favor of paleo, which is why I tend to eat colorful veggies and lots of eggs. I do not try to drag vegetarianism into a larger worldview. I happen to like it --- that does not make me need to justify it using libertarianism (tho sometimes I casually contemplate it in context with the NAP), nor do I need to tell paleo people what I think of their diets or argue about it. Enjoy your goddamn diet. Ill enjoy mine. Well hopefully find restaurants we can both eat at. Stop trying to work your diet into your political philosophy. Its weird.
