I dont understand why teenagers should feel pressured to leave high school and go directly into college, where they are then pressured to make a very serious decision about the career path they THINK they want. They do all of this without really experiencing the world. So many kids graduate college with a degree that is rendered completely useless where they live - or maybe they discover that after their four year degree they cant even get a job without more schooling. I truly think that college would be a far more beneficial experience if our youth was encouraged to spend a few years finding themselves, discovering the world, and asking themselves if they really think that putting themselves deep into debt for the sake of furthering their education will really benefit them as an individual.
