I dont usually write about stuff like this but I really feel like this needs to be addressed. I agree that the Ice Bucket Challenge is hilarious and super fun to do and that it has raised a certain amount of money, but, I hope that everyone who took part in this challenge realises that they are literally opting to put themselves in pain rather donating to charity. Many of whom have not even mentioned that they could have donated or really what the ALS association is. Never mind that we are in a drought at the moment and worse there are children in some places of the world who do not even have clean water to drink. I understand that everyones economic situation is different but there are many ways of helping out a charity other than pouring a bucket of ice on your head. This is a trend, and like many others before it will fade. Please just dont let the spreading knowledge of ALS and the emphasis on donating and helping create change fade.
