I dont want to sound pompous, but I think we should start a thread that explains to people what dotted 8th and regular 8th notes mean. Stuff like that. If youre a church musician, OWN your craft. Know this stuff. Posting gear and pedal boards is meaningless if you dont know the fundamentals behind theory. Its sort of like posting up photos of basketball equipment and headbands and arm sleeves and kinesiotape... and not knowing what the 24-second shot clock means. What are some theory-related stuff thats critical for worship sets that often just get... overlooked? Wanted to see what we could come up with. ** And to clarify before anybody starts getting all whiney about this... Gear is AWESOME. You dont have to post about theory. But just, in your own time—if you love your craft—know it. Learn it. Thats my point. Theory is cool, too, you guys! =)
