I dont watch CNN, but this clip with Dr. Sanjay Gupta is pretty good. Denmark appears often on lists of best places on this planet to live (Norway often tops the list as well). Why? Socialistic style governmental policies, thats why. Yes, yes, I know - here in America they have propagandized everyone into believing this will lead to us becoming like the old Soviet Union, and so, America never appears anywhere remotely near the top of such lists. Communism is totalitarian, complete control of all aspects of society, which was demonstrated by experience to not work well - which is why Russia abandoned it. Democratic Socialism is somewhere halfway between capitalism and communism and actually works quite well. Pure capitalism, in which the government has no higher value than adding to the wealth of the already wealthy has made for a miserable state of affairs in modern America. It isnt that capitalism is altogether bad - it clearly is not - but it must be kept in check. The economy of an entire nation is too big a thing for total centralized control - it doesnt work well, but governmental restraints on business monopolies, excess greed, and crooked bankers is always a good idea. The Russians screwed up by jumping from communism to pure capitalism, and thus modern Russia is a gangster society, with billionaire thugs living high and Marxs forgotten proletariats left behind. Its usually that way with people - from one extreme to the next.
