I dont wish to overload my business page with posts and comments but I do have one more to share before I take the weekend off. Most people dont know why I chose this profession and some might not care, but Id like to elaborate on how I got into this business. As some of you may already know, I have a background in beauty, and corporate business.....two diverse careers. Two equally stressful careers for someone such as myself who has a severe anxiety disorder. Although I was considered pretty good in my field, the stress was sometimes almost unbearable. So I decided to combine my business background with tasks that I love doing.....cleaning, organizing, entertaining. Theres nothing more fulfilling for me than being physically active, listening to my music with headphones and making a home sparkle....and I get paid to do it. We do spend countless hours working on new marketing plans, budgets and projections for our franchises. We also devote copious amounts of time learning new beneficial software programs to help our businesses grow. In other words; Id like to think that were pretty smart peeps! Some of us in the cleaning business did not get into it because we are not educated or experienced individuals; we got into it because it allowed us to combine our business savvy with something that gives us a deep sense of accomplishment. We never tire of hearing happy people sing our praises. We do however tire of the few people who think that because we chose this path we are not to be respected or are considered less than smart. Or the ones who think its ok to tell us what our work is worth, if you cant afford us or think our services are a minimum wage job; then you might consider doing the dirty work yourself. And while Im mentioning these things, there also people who have you do the job and then not pay you....cleaning services for most, is a job that many can do themselves, if you dont want to pay for our professional services, then please dont hire us. We take just as much consideration in choosing our clients as they do choosing us. We dont take just any jobs for the money, we consider it a partnership. This is why we continue to get Five star reviews. Canceling scheduled services at the last minute for anything less than an emergency costs us more than you think....we schedule techs based on a days work...someone could have had your time slot. Just yesterday we showed up at a regularly scheduled clients and we were locked out. I had an extra tech for this days jobs. Please show us the respect you would want for yourself. Also for tire kickers out there; when you use a lead generator such as Home Advisor, Thumbtack, Angies List, please know that it costs us professionals as much as $25 just for that one lead. If youre just curious about the cost of any kind of service, read the company profile first and then proceed. Some of us spend upwards of $500 per month to get dead leads.
