I don’t know how many icons of Modern India I have to pity for - TopicsExpress

I don’t know how many icons of Modern India I have to pity for the simple reason of Sangh parivar’s deceitful attempts at hijacking them. First it was the ‘Iron man’ Sardar Patel who banned the outfit in 1948. It may be ironic to others that they try to install Pater statue but for me it is nothing but blasphemy. If any ordinary Hindu reads the works of Swami Vivekananda, he would immediately understand the huge difference in his outlook on Hinduism and the sangh parivar’s concept of Hindu Nationalism. But again Swami Vivekananda’s image is used as though he was a founder of the Sangh parivar. The most comic tragedy is the use of Mahatma Gandhi. Those who believed neither in Gandhi nor Socialism adopted ‘ Gandhian socialism’ as its policy. Indian people will never forget that it is only a Hindu fanatic who killed Gandhi and several of the then leaders of Sangh parivar had links with him. Just as the Congress thinks the public memory is short, the sangh parivar too thinks the same way. And now the most blasphemous thing has been started. Bhagat Singh who is an atheist and who is a leftist is sought to be brought in to the picture. It may be that his heirs may have links with the Sangh. But to exploit Bhagat Singh’s image is the most blatant and willful fooling of the people. If the DMK and AIADMK are using the images of Periyar and Annadurai, that is understandable. If Ram Manohar Lohia is used as image of some of the present regional parties in the north, that too is understandable. But how come those who are alien and allergic to images of the icons I have written use to its own benefit. Herin lies the secret of 2013. The Congress party is isolated as never before. It is now or never for the Sangh parivar. So use everything to create a web of mystery and magic on the Indian people. Now the clear leader is not Modi as we all think but the hidden hand, the Sangh parivar. Baskar Kuppuswamy
