I don’t know what country Mark O’Mara lives in, but the one I reside in allows an overzealous wannabe cop profile, stalk and kill a young black man for walking home while black. And that’s what happened here. A young black man went to the 7-11 to get a beverage and some Skittles. A failure of a man stalked him, stopped him, and finally killed him. An overzealous prosecutor charged Zimmerman with a crime they were going to have a very hard time proving (Murder 2 vs. Manslaughter–which is what the charge should have been), tried the case more sloppily than Lindsay Lohan on a Saturday night, had the temerity to slap their own backs for failing so well, and then turning the podium over to a group of smirking, vile, gleeful defense attorneys that couldn’t simply accept their victory, they had to rub the noses of everyone who disagreed with the judgement in it.
