I don’t know what else to do but to ask for your help - PLEASE I - TopicsExpress

I don’t know what else to do but to ask for your help - PLEASE I beg you to call/email/post on Facebook to the folks below, demanding that the two boxer dogs living 24/7 outdoors at 30 Watercrest Drive, Elkton, MD, be rescued IMMEDIATELY and receive food, water, shelter or veterinary care as prescribed and denied by their owner! I have called, begged and pleaded with animal control to help me help these dogs. I will not fail these animals. Dogs Deserve Better, any suggestions and/or shares are greatly appreciated - I dont know what else to do I have been contacting Cecil County Animal Care and Control (operated by A Buddy For Life Inc.) relentlessly since October about a black male and white female boxer pair living outside at 30 Watercrest Drive, Elkton, MD without proper veterinary care, shelter, food, water but the animals have not been rescued from their hellish living conditions. I was recently subpoenaed for the court hearing 2/9/15 against the owner (after relentless calls/reports and escalating up the ladder, James Dellmyer, Cecil County Animal Care and Control Authority’s attorney, advised me just this evening that a Buddy For Life finally responded and found the dogs to be thin and advised the owners to clean up the feces in the kennel and directed that the dogs must be seen by a vet for being underweight. The owner made an appointment at All Paws for the dogs but the owners declined all recommended veterinary treatment) but here’s the thing – no dog should be left out to survive in this weather, especially with the temps so low and looming snow storm. The ground in their caged area is covered in water, snow, mud and their own stool. The owner is so out of compliance with Section 142 (ecode360/16162739) of their county code it astounds me that Animal Control has found no ground to seize them. The crazy thing is that owners put a tarp against the sides of the caged area to disguise the abuse. Why not just take care of your pets? The female had a litter of puppies not too long ago (no idea where the puppies are or if she is/ever nursed them)– this appears to be a breeder/mill situation and they just leave the producing dogs outside without care. • At A Buddy for Life (410-392-0000), I have talked with Brian (dispatcher) and Officer Jerry Hawkins on numerous occasions (most of the time I don’t get a call back though). I was even told by Officer Hawkins that I was not allowed to feed the dogs as I could get into trouble. Isn’t Animal Control supposed to be advocating for the ANIMALS? • I wrote a letter to Madelyn Yelton of Animal Care and Control Oversight Commission (oversight of Animal Control/A Buddy for Life), pleading and begging for them to remove the dogs from the property given the deplorable living conditions with the extreme weather/temperatures on my mind) - [email protected] & [email protected] • After speaking with Elkton Police and the court clerk, I called the SPCA in Chesapeake (no longer exists) and the Cecil County SPCA, Inc/Eastern Shore League, Inc. (410-885-2342); The helpful staff told me to contact Jason Allison (410-996-8303, [email protected]), the county attorney and Tari Moore(410-996-5203, [email protected]), the County Executive. I left a message on Jason’s voicemail and spoke with Terry’s assistant who said she was going to contact Terry directly about this matter and call Animal Control/A Buddy For Life (this has been the most promising – thank you!!)
